  About this course

Redefining Classical & Contemporary

Our focus moves beyond learning repertory to the craft of teaching.
Participants will learn how to work within the traditional system, how to implement critical thinking and enhance problem solving skills while teaching. Connections between the exercises will guide inquiries and explorations.  Our strong foundation in Classical methodology is matched with innovation and creativity  creating a unique bridge between Classical and Contemporary teaching styles.

Why should I take this course?

Perhaps you have come to a cross roads in your teaching.   May be thinking you need another certification.  I created the Graduate Program as an alternative to starting from zero in whole new teacher training. This program is designed to meet your right were you are.
The three keystones to the program are:

  • Work creatively and intentionally within the system.
  • Apply critical thinking to enhance problem solving skills and deepen understanding of the methodology at the heart of the Pilates system.
  • Learn effective communication skills to foster trust and transformational learning.

This hybrid online and in-person 100-hour program has been designed for Pilates teachers who want to uplevel their teaching skills.
Over the course of this eight month mentorship, participants meet with Maria online  and gather in person for 3 intensive weekends for hands-on experience. Participants have access to a library of tutorials and classes as well as all three online Advanced Mover Series.  The intensive weekends  are conducted at Maria Earle ́s Pilates studio in Barcelona, Spain and can be attended in person or virtually.  Additionally, participants are expected to complete assigned homework which includes: personal practice, , reading and writing assignments and a  personal project.
